What happens if bad weather disrupts a planned filming day?

Bad weather can affect outdoor footage, sound and access to a location. A useful filming plan includes a way to make decisions before the crew travels, rather than waiting until the shoot has already become impractical.

Identify weather-dependent scenes

List which shots need a particular appearance or outdoor conditions. Consider wind noise, changing light and safe access. An indoor interview or product sequence may provide useful work if an outdoor scene cannot proceed.

Agree the decision process

Nominate the people who decide whether to continue, rearrange or use the alternative plan. Check the booking terms for crew, equipment, travel and locations. A replacement day is not automatically included in every production price.

Protect continuity and expectations

If filming happens on different days, review how the shots will match. High5VR can discuss contingency planning during the brief and make the assumptions clear before the shoot is booked.
