VR Training for Apprentices: Connecting Theory with Workplace Scenarios

VR Training for Apprentices: Connecting Theory with Workplace Scenarios

An apprentice may understand a concept in class yet find it harder to recognise in a workplace. VR training for apprentices can place approved information within a fictional working scene. High5VR can develop an exercise with your training provider and subject specialists.

Choose a clear learning connection

Identify the classroom topic and the observation or decision that follows from it. A learner could inspect equipment, locate information or explain what they would clarify. Keep the activity within their role and stage of learning.

Review the experience together

After the session, ask learners to connect what they saw with the lesson. Feedback can highlight the relevant cues and leave room for questions. A facilitator can then relate the virtual example to the practical learning that follows.

Design for a mixed group

Provide simple instructions, readable text and suitable alternatives. Test with representative learners rather than assume familiarity with headsets. The module supports teaching and supervised experience; it does not replace the assessment requirements of an apprenticeship or establish independent competence.
