How Do You Measure Whether VR Training Is Working?

How Do You Measure Whether VR Training Is Working?

Measuring VR training begins with the learning objective. Decide what learners should recognise, explain or do after the activity. Without that definition, a high completion rate or enthusiastic comment cannot tell you whether the exercise addressed the intended problem.

Separate usability from learning

Ask whether users understood the controls and instructions. Then examine the agreed learning measure. These are related but different questions: an easy-to-use application may still teach the wrong thing, while confusing controls can obscure useful content.

Use an appropriate comparison

Your educators may compare understanding before and after an exercise or review performance against approved criteria. Keep the audience, questions and conditions clear. If there is no suitable comparison, report the available observations without presenting them as proof of improvement.

Connect findings to a decision

A pilot review should explain what worked, what needs changing and whether expansion is justified. High5VR can agree the required in-application results during scoping. Scores, reporting and integrations need explicit requirements; they should not be assumed to exist in every module.
