A 360-degree film can incorporate archive photographs or historical material, provided the presentation and usage permissions are appropriate. Decide how the material helps the story and how a viewer will encounter it inside the immersive scene.
Identify usable sources
List the photographs, recordings and documents you want to include. Check ownership, usage permissions and any conditions from the archive or supplier. The age of an item alone does not establish that every reproduction can be used freely.
Design the presentation
A photograph might appear as a clearly framed element or be explained through narration. Avoid implying that a reconstructed or animated scene is original footage. Keep important text readable in the intended viewing format.
Plan restoration and editing work
Scanning, cleaning, graphics and narration may be needed before the material fits the film. High5VR can review sample assets and scope their preparation alongside the 360-degree edit.
