How do we test whether a VR game is fun before building the whole thing?

Before investing in a complete VR game, test whether its main activity is enjoyable and understandable. A small playable prototype can answer a different question from a polished trailer: what does someone actually want to do again?

Choose one interaction to test

Build the central action with only the assets needed to explain it. A rough puzzle, target or object-handling task can reveal problems before detailed scenery is added. Decide what the prototype is intended to prove.

Observe unfamiliar players

Watch where people hesitate, misunderstand feedback or stop experimenting. Ask what they expected and what made sense. Friends who already know the idea may overlook confusing instructions that new players encounter.

Use feedback to choose the next scope

Agree which changes matter and repeat the relevant test. High5VR can discuss an initial prototype with defined deliverables. The purpose is to inform development, not guarantee commercial success from a small playtest.
