Do we need 360° filming or a 3D animated environment?

Do we need 360° filming or a 3D animated environment?

Choose the format around what the audience needs to see and do. 360° filming records an existing scene. A 3D animated environment can represent a fictional or proposed setting and support agreed interactions. High5VR can discuss either approach against your project brief.

What should we consider?

Filming may suit a real location whose appearance matters. It requires access, preparation and a production plan. A digital environment may suit a place that does not yet exist or a scenario where objects and conditions need to change between attempts.

What needs to be agreed?

The work involved differs. Filming includes crew, equipment, locations and post-production; a digital environment may involve modelling, animation and programming. Both need testing and an agreed delivery format. Visual realism alone does not determine which option serves the objective.

How do we get started?

Share the audience, story or learning task, together with available assets. We can explain the proposed scope and practical limitations. In some projects, filmed and digital material can be combined, but that should be a deliberate production choice rather than an assumed feature.
