Possibly, depending on how the footage was recorded and what you want viewers to experience. Existing 360° footage can be assessed for an immersive edit. Conventional video can also appear within a virtual setting, but it does not become a fully recorded 360° scene simply by changing its format.
What should we consider?
High5VR would review sample files, resolution, sound and permissions before proposing an approach. Tell us whether the material is raw footage or an edited film, and whether you have access to original files. These details affect the production options and the quality of the result.
What needs to be agreed?
Agree what users will do with the material. Looking around a filmed scene, watching a flat video inside a virtual room and interacting with a digital environment are different experiences. Additional modelling, programming or new filming may be required for the intended activity.
How do we get started?
Share your footage and intended viewing destination. We can discuss what can be reused, what needs further work and which deliverables fit the project. Any quote will follow the agreed scope rather than assume that every existing film can be converted in the same way.
