Can VR training let employees practise different outcomes from the same decision?

Can VR training let employees practise different outcomes from the same decision?

A branching VR exercise can be designed so that an agreed learner choice leads to a different scene or response. Begin with the learning objective and the decisions that matter to it. Additional branches need content, implementation and testing; they are not automatic features of every VR course.

Keep the outcomes grounded in approved content

Subject specialists should review what each choice represents. A scenario should not imply that one outcome is inevitable in every real situation. For complex conversations, the exercise may invite discussion about alternatives rather than reduce everything to a single right or wrong answer.

Use the debrief to connect the choices

Ask learners what information they used and what they would clarify next time. Professional trainers can help connect the exercise to the wider course. VR is an add-on to classroom and practical training, and an application score should not be treated as proof of operational competence.
