A supervisor may recognise unsafe behaviour but still find it difficult to challenge a colleague. VR can add a controlled conversation exercise where the learner practises noticing the issue, intervening appropriately and explaining the next step under the organisation’s procedures.
Agree the situation with a training expert
Use an approved scenario and establish the supervisor’s authority. The purpose might be communication, observation or escalation. Do not turn an immersive scene into an invented operational instruction for a hazardous activity.
Practise the conversation
A filmed character or interactive scene can present a response for the supervisor to consider. Decide how choices are represented and what feedback follows. Open-ended speech or automated interpretation needs separate development; a realistic character does not automatically understand a conversation.
Use a structured debrief
Discuss the wording, timing and reasoning behind the intervention. Link the exercise to existing instruction and practical supervision. High5VR can develop the content with professional training input where appropriate, while keeping VR in its role as an add-on.
High5VR works with professional trainers at Bhuku on appropriate training projects. The trainer input and responsibilities are agreed for each scope.
