Music for an advert or business film needs permission that covers the intended use. Having access to a track through a listening subscription does not establish that it can be placed in a commercial. Check the licence for the actual recording and production.
List where the film will appear
Identify television, website, social channels, paid placements and any other uses. Include territories, duration and versions where relevant. The licence needs to be assessed against the distribution plan, not just the length of the music excerpt.
Choose an appropriate licensing route
A production-music library can offer a defined route for particular uses; other tracks may need separate permissions from the relevant rights holders. Ask the provider what is covered and retain the documentation. Do not assume royalty-free means unrestricted.
Keep the production record clear
Note the track, source, licence and approved uses alongside the final edit. High5VR can include music selection and licensing arrangements in the scope, with unresolved rights checked by the appropriate specialist before release.
