VR training can need changes when equipment, procedures or the organisation itself changes. Planning for updates at the start of a project makes it easier to keep the experience useful rather than treating the first release as a permanent finished object.

Identify what has changed

Separate a wording correction from a new scenario, a different machine or a revised assessment process. Each can involve different work. A small visual change may still affect instructions, scoring or the explanation a learner sees afterwards.

Ask the subject specialist to identify the approved source for the change. A developer needs a clear requirement, not simply a request to make the training current.

Protect the learning and reporting journey

Check how the update affects existing progress records and reports. If a learning objective or question changes, the organisation may need to distinguish results from different versions. Retention and migration arrangements should be agreed rather than assumed.

Test the revised experience on the intended hardware with representative tasks. Include unsuccessful choices, interrupted sessions and any reporting used by supervisors, where those functions are in scope.

Agree the ongoing responsibilities

Decide who requests updates, who approves their content and how releases reach the devices. The process may differ for centrally managed headsets, offline installations and streamed experiences.

High5VR can review the proposed changes and the existing build before estimating the work. Updates, ongoing support and third-party service costs need clear arrangements. A bespoke VR training project can be designed with future maintenance in mind, but unlimited changes are not automatically included in the original development price.
