Can we create a VR escape room?

A VR escape room can combine observation, puzzles and a clear sense of progress. The project needs a game design as well as an environment. Decide what players discover and how the clues connect before building a room full of objects.

Plan the puzzle sequence

Identify the starting information, intermediate discoveries and final outcome. Check that clues are visible and understandable from the player’s viewpoint. An optional hint system can be discussed if the intended audience needs support.

Test interaction early

Try opening, selecting and inspecting objects on the intended headset. Avoid making a puzzle depend on a control action the player has not learned. Room movement, seated use and multiplayer are separate design decisions.

Agree a first playable version

A short room with a few connected puzzles can establish whether the concept works. High5VR can scope the artwork, sound, interactions and testing, with additional rooms or difficulty levels reviewed later.

Costs depend on the agreed scope, development and asset work, any filming days, crew, equipment and post-production. A focused project can be inexpensive; undefined future features need to be reviewed separately.
